Happy Birthday to my sweet precious baby boy. Four years old already...and it seems like you were just barely born. Every day that passes reminds how lucky I am to be your mama.

I'm A Fickle Lover
I have cheated. I betrayed and turned my back on my deep deep love of....cuff-down socks. What kind of a person am I??
I love knitting socks from the toe up. Completely love it. They seem to knit up faster, for some reason beyond me. I finished my first Think Pink sock last week, cast on for the second last night and finished the entire toe and two repeats of the pattern. I'm hoping to get it done soon so I can cast on for Haruni, because that's going to take me for-flippin-ever, I think.
My baby boy's birthday is on Tuesday. :( I can't believe he's going to be four.

It's so hard to believe. What's doubly hard to believe is that my daughter, my first-born, my precious baby girl, will be SIX in a week. SIX!!!! I'm super excited for their birthday party next Saturday, though. My mom and I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and raided their circus-themed party section. We even got red clown noses for the goody bags, which are, incidentally, little red-and-white-striped, old fashioned popcorn boxes.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch a movie on my laptop, work on my sock, and laugh at my neighbors who are being blown all over the place by the 60-mph winds that are currently roaring outside. Seriously, just put off watering your plants until tomorrow. I promise they'll survive.

Birthday Fever
On The Needles:
--Hermione's Everyday Socks in Regia Sock Yarn
--Think Pink Socks in Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering (Ribbed Ribbons pattern from Socks From The Toe Up by Wendy Knits
LOVE the way my Hermione (top) socks are coming out. The pattern is so so easy, and it's beautiful. Very simple, but interestingly textured. I've actually done more since I took that picture, but those socks are on-the-go-knitting, so I keep them in my car and I keep forgetting to bring them in to take pictures. I seem to spend a lot of time waiting in my car. Don't know why, but at least I can just whip Hermione out and do a few rows here and there.
My Think Pink socks are also stealing my heart. I absolutely love them. I love the toe-up method, love the double circs method...just love them. I'm about to create the gusset on the first one, as soon as I have ten seconds to just SIT.
I ordered this skein of yarn off of eBay a few weeks ago. It's beautiful, dark grey heather laceweight, 800 yards, wool, silk, and cashmere. I'm going to cast on for the Haruni shawl on Ravelry today....I can't wait! My very first shawl!
So my kids' birthdays are coming up...April 5th and April 12th. I'm doing a circus-themed birthday party, and I am SO excited. It's so hard to believe that they're gonna be four and six. That just blows my mind. For the next two weeks, I'm not going to be doing anything that's NOT related to the party or the actual days. Birthday fever indeed. The only thing that's niggling at my brain is the fact that both my boyfriend and my ex-husband are going to be at the party....at the same time......

Spring has sprung....back under a rock
Okay. Seriously, enough with the wind. It's getting ridiculous. I am so unbelievable sick and tired of the crazy crazy wind. It would be so nice and warm outside if the wind weren't blowing at three hundred flippin' miles an hour. Yesterday Nolan and I were leaving the library, when I opened my mouth to say something to him....and promptly got a mouthful of dirt. Thank you SO much.
I've discovered something amazing. Yarnbombing! I've been hearing about it off and on for a few months now, and yesterday I finally found a book on it. I was so intrigued, and so inspired. My MOTHER even wants to go yarnbombing with me, and she doesn't even knit/crochet! I'm going to make a little rectangular tag and put some pom-poms or bobbles dangling off of it today, and tonight when she gets home we're going to drive to Corrales and find somewhere to leave it. She's excited and she thinks its so cool, which makes me happy that our relationship has gotten back to the point where we can go and do fun things together like this.
I have a job interview at Starbucks today. YAY!
On The Needles:
--Hermione's Everyday Socks in Regia Sock Yarn
--Think Pink Socks in Brown Sheep Nature Spun Fingering (Ribbed Ribbons pattern from Socks From The Toe Up by Wendy Knits
--My little turquoise rectangle tag
I'm about to turn the heel on both pairs of socks, just coming from different directions. I actually am really loving the toe up method. It's really cool being able to try the damn thing on my foot to make sure it fits and all that jazz. Will post pictures after I take my daughter to school.
